The client is a medical AI startup building explainable AI that runs locally. Their core product uses Neural Cellular Automata—a bio-inspired architecture achieving state-of-the-art accuracy with 300x fewer parameters, enabling brain tumor detection on any laptop without cloud dependency.

The client had no digital presence when I joined. Over a 2-month contract, I designed and built everything from scratch: the company website (design, content, and development), and a standalone product demo application — a 3D MRI viewer with real-time AI segmentation overlay that runs out of the box on any laptop, no setup required. Beyond the product work, I had the opportunity to brainstorm and spar on aspects of the underlying NCA model architecture.
